Léa Téchy

Léa lived in one of the first houses in the village of Marcouray, coming from the woods where Colonel Hogan had spent the night with Gast and D’Orio.
It was she who welcomed and sheltered them throughout the siege of Marcouray.

Unfortunately for her, her house was completely destroyed in a fire caused by the fierce fighting during the siege of the village.
The house, now owned by her descendants, is divided into two parts, a private part and a bed and breakfast, where the cellar of the colonel’s HQ still stands, where he refused to surrender to the Germans.
In tribute to his memory, the gite is called “Chez Léa”.
